International Poem Reading

Tuesday April 27, 2010

Today was a nice spring day. I took a few photos of the newly blooming trees and green grass.

Later in the evening there was an International Poetry Reading event. People read poems from their native countries or in languages they had studied. Altogether, poems from this year’s event were read in a total of 32 different languages! Some of my friends were going to be reading in Japanese so I went to go watch.

Chris read “There’s Always Tomorrow” by the Ulfuls. It was very entertaining.

Minori also read two poems, but I didn’t get a photo of her. The photos I did get didn’t turn out that well because my camera isn’t very good at zooming and I was seated in the back. It was a fun time, though.
