Christmas started very early, as usual. We got up as a family and opened gifts. We started with stockings and then moved onto the presents under the tree.
I got a new guitar amp!

After opening gifts again at our place, we left for Aunt Kathleen and Uncle Fred’s house.

We did a Yankee Swap this year. This is a gift giving process where everyone gets a gift of $5 and wraps it. The presents are pooled together and one by one, a person either takes a present from the pool or steals an already opened present from someone else. At the end, everyone has a gift. It was pretty fun.

Jeff got Asami’s Yankee Swap gift. A donut mirror and some … gum?

We started playing board games.

Asami got some lotions and a tiny turtle from Maime.
Next, we went to our final destination for the day: Grandma and Grandpa’s house.

The Christmas tree.

Everyone gathered by the tree getting ready to open gifts.

A lot of presents.

Grandma and Grandpa got everyone “Cuddlees,” an obvious “Snuggie” knock-off.
We got back and Asami gathered all of her presents together to take a photo. She got quite a lot!
