I got a new camera, finally. My old one was seriously beginning to show its age. From now on, please enjoy the blog photos in delicious widescreen formatting.
First, some photos from our last day of Kimono wearing class:

George and I gearing up.

The entire class in kimonos.
This morning, we went to listen to a survivor of the atomic bomb in Nagasaki speak for history class.

The auditorium.

The speaker and her English translator.
Our speaker was ten years old at the time of the bombing 64 years ago. She told her story about how she lost her entire family to the bomb and talked about banning nuclear weaponry. It was a sad story and my first time hearing one from an actual survivor.
Later in the day, I went to a beach party that Eric put together. I met up with George, Nate, and Lauren and we all rode over to the beach together. It was my first time over there, and it was a really cool looking beach…

Great view.

On the way.

Along the shore.

People eating. There was a lot of American food there. I had some hot dogs, they were very good.

Beach scenery.

Nate, George and Alex looking out at the sea.

Here’s a great shot. George’s face is priceless. On the right is Misaki, my speaking partner. That goofy hat belongs to Nate, but George was wearing it for the day.

A cave on the otherside of the beach.

George and Ruiko.

Party party.
